Experienced Data Entry Technician – Healthcare Administration Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Technician to join our team at arenaflex's Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare administration support team, you will be responsible for providing data entry and retrieval services, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide data entry and retrieval services, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information, treatment plans, and medical history
  • Assist licensed physical and occupational therapists with therapeutic modality treatments, preparing therapy areas and patients for treatments
  • Transport patients to/from department or room via wheelchair or stretcher, as directed by professional staff in a safe and courteous manner
  • Maintain all equipment and environment to assure that they are clean, operable, and safe
  • Perform isolation techniques as outlined in Infection Control policy
  • Prepare/maintains work area for treatment, including ordering of supplies/linen and pharmaceuticals
  • Orient and mentor new staff in needs of assigned area
  • Assist with generalized office and front desk procedures
  • Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations, and standards

Essential Qualifications:

* Five years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, or pursuing an education in PT/OT or PTA/COTA program may be substituted in lieu of experience

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and various software packages specific to role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a healthcare administration support role

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
  • Certification in medical terminology or a related field
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems
