Key Responsibilities
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Resolving and closing tickets/work orders supporting end-client workstations and peripherals
- Answering client care issues raised from the Helpdesk
- Contributing to desktop projects (global installs/renovations) as a project team member
- Remotely resolving and resolving demands using remote tools
- Investigating and collaborating with other departments to assist with system-related issues
- Recording client interactions in incident management software, including resource management
- Recovering data from hard drives or performing data migration
- Maintaining remote access for virtual private network (VPN) availability as well as remote/broadband network for workstations
- Installing and designing local and network-based printers
- Performing preventive maintenance
- Working various shifts, including on-call and travel as required
- Following management direction, complying with IT strategy and policy
- Performing other duties as mentioned
- Venturing, as required
All You'll Need for Success
To excel in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience/training
- 2 years of hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving various PC desktop software and hardware issues
- First-hand experience supporting workstations in a Windows/TCPIP environment
- Preferred Qualifications:
+ A+ certification + MCSE/MCP or higher + Past IT foundation experience in an aircraft/airport environment + Familiarity with tagging systems and work process
Essential Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- General knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10
- Knowledge of VPN networks and the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to work independently and act in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
