Job Summary

We are seeking multiple experienced Software Engineers to support various teams in Linthicum Heights, MD, with a hybrid/remote schedule. These positions offer a unique opportunity to work on complex and diverse software systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and enhance cutting-edge applications. As a Software Engineer at arenaflex, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of projects, from processing-intensive analytics and novel algorithm development to real-time systems and business management information systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements

• Work individually or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results
• Resolve software problem reports and provide specific input to the software components of system design
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet clients' needs

Team Focus

We're hiring for the following teams:

• API: Our REST team provides middleware and backend support to all of our applications

+ Primary skills: Python, Django or Flask + Secondary skills: MongoDB or MariaDB

• DevOps: Focused on delivering the automation that enables all the other teams to operate smoothly

+ Primary skills: Ansible Pipeline; GitLab Pipeline, Linux, NiFi + Secondary skills: AWS, C2S, or other cloud experience; Python scripting, Cloud Hosting and Automation

• Customer Support: Primarily focuses on requirements gathering, tier 1 support, technical writing, help documentation, and internal testing

+ Primary skills: technical writing; Confluence + Secondary skills: System Engineering/requirements gathering; JIRA

• User Interface (UI): Focuses on creating our single-page application websites and providing mockups for new ideas

+ Primary Skills: TypeScript; Angular; SCSS + Secondary Skills: Balsamiq; MongoDB

• Data Management: The analytics team focuses on delivering reliable, accurate data to our end users

+ Primary skills: PIG; Py-Spark + Secondary skills: NiFi; PressureWave

• Data Pipeline: Responsible for ensuring that our day-to-day operations are successful and that data arrives from A to B, both coming into our system and leaving to third parties

+ Primary skills: NiFi; PressureWave + Secondary skills: Patch Management and IAVA tracking; Bash Scripting

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required

* Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• TS/SCI with a polygraph is required
