Responsibilities

As a Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert support to clients using accounting software, including QuickBooks Online and comparable solutions.
  • Assisting clients with questions related to accounting software processes, ledger entry, navigation, and other troubleshooting needs.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting practices, including AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and more.
  • Delivering high-quality customer service over the phone in a virtual or "brick and mortar" call center environment.
  • Comfortably cross-selling relevant products while addressing customer concerns.
  • Taking ownership of customer issues and providing confident resolution.
  • Utilizing strong communication skills to interact with clients in a friendly and professional tone.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software.
  • Bookkeeping/accounting expertise, including AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and more.
  • Customer service experience and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service over the phone.
  • Comfort with cross-selling relevant products while addressing customer concerns.
  • Strong ownership of customer issues and ability to provide confident resolution.
  • Tech savvy and avid computer user.
  • Ability to communicate with a friendly tone and professional demeanor.

Work Environment and Technology Requirements

To ensure your success in this role, you'll need:

  • A quiet, uninterrupted space to work.
  • An organized desk area.
  • A personal computer (no tablet).
  • Broadband internet connection, at least 10 Mbps download speed.
  • Wired internet connection (no wi-fi or mobile internet).
  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system.
  • Valid antivirus software installed, running, and up to date.
  • Wired USB headset with microphone.
  • Mac users: Mac acceptance is limited to Intel-based machines with Windows 11 installed via Apple's Boot Camp utility.

Important Information

Please note that this program is only available to independent contractors residing in the United States, except for California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington. You must also successfully pass a criminal background check. As an independent contractor, you'll be responsible for your own taxes and benefits.

Contractual Relationship

The relationship between you and arenaflex is a contractual relationship. You'll remain an independent contractor for the duration of this program assignment. arenaflex will not be responsible for withholding taxes on your earnings while contracted with us. When you receive your contract, you'll be asked to agree to have no claim against arenaflex hereunder or otherwise for vacation pay, sick leave, retirement benefits, Social Security, worker's compensation, health or disability benefits, overtime, unemployment insurance benefits, or employee benefits of any kind.

Job Type

This is a contract role with a flexible schedule, available between 8 am and 8 pm CST, Monday to Friday.

Pay

You'll earn up to $20.40 per hour, with a guaranteed minimum of 45 minutes for each hour if available for the full 60 minutes.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling opportunities to create your own schedule.
