Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Media Designing team, which is responsible for creating and maintaining the foundation for Disney's media, advertising, and distribution organizations. As a key member of our team, you'll design, develop, and deploy scalable web and cloud applications that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your expertise will help us build a robust and efficient content delivery network (CDN) that ensures seamless playback experiences for our users.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and oversee CDN setups in the Disney Distribution Network
- Effectively manage OpenCache organizations with ISPs globally
- Audit performance metrics across our storage framework for enhancements (collaborating with operations and performance management teams)
- Manage daily tasks of the Disney Appropriation Network
- Participate in tooling development to integrate external CDNs into a unified control plane
- Function as the primary point of contact for CDN support – effectively managing incidents through communication with CDN support teams
- Collaborate with our operations and design teams to resolve reservation issues
- Provide level 3 support for any emergency assessment, acceleration, and backup
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing storage solutions, preferably in a Content Distribution Organization environment
- Experience in Satisfied Appropriation Organization tasks conditions
- Knowledge of CDN Supplier structures and arrangements
- Ability to perform Organization Investigating
- Familiarity with the following:
+ HTTP/DNS/Web Design + Reserving (Stain) + Web Serving (NGINX, HAProxy) + Cloud Advances (AWS, GCP) + Prearranging Dialects (Python, et al) + Security Conventions (SSL Endorsements, TLS) + Design The executives (Ansible, AWX)
- Effective communication, written and verbal
- Enthusiasm for investigating and troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based storage solutions
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
- Experience with security protocols and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
