Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Virtual & Simulation Testing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing virtual platforms to test and verify solutions through simulations and emulations with high fidelity. You will partner with Product Teams, QA Manual Testing and Requirements Team, and internal Customers to ensure new Solutions meet their requirements. Your primary role will be to drive high-quality product delivery, synchronize virtual and physical tests, and ensure integrated system performance across all sub-components.
Key Responsibilities
As a Virtual & Simulation Testing Quality Assurance Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and simulating virtual platforms to validate end-to-end solutions with real-life software
- Ensuring that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and MHE- integration, service and support prior to delivery
- Identifying and setting appropriate quality standards and parameters for products
- Communicating quality standards and parameters to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams
- Coordinating simulations and testing processes
- Identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues
- Connecting with internal customers (Operations, RME, ACES, PE, OpsEng, WWDE, etc.), reviewing client, customer, and user feedback
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams with modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance domain expertise
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems with storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics, and high-speed manufacturing
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management
- Project managing skills to start projects and finish projects successfully
