What You'll Be Doing
As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing Exceptional Service: Working directly with members in a fast-paced inbound contact center to deliver outstanding experiences
- Building Trust and Relationships: Building trust and creating sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to research and communicate solutions in a variety of situations
- Handling Customer Concerns: Effectively handling customer concerns by utilizing available resources to provide accurate information and ensure empathetic resolution
- Confidentially Handling Policy Owner Information: Confidentially handling policy owner information and ensuring compliance and communication standards are met
- Collaborating with Internal Teams: Collaborating with internal teams to ensure thorough and timely resolutions for all members
Required Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Minimum 2 Years Experience: In a customer service-related position where there is a high value placed on the customer/member experience; insurance/call center experience preferred
- Basic Mathematical Aptitude: Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Technical Aptitude: Technical aptitude with experience navigating and operating multiple computer applications and telephone technologies desired
- Basic Understanding of Life Insurance Company Operations: Basic understanding and knowledge of life insurance company operations, policies, and procedures, and knowledge of various insurance products preferred
- Completion of Insurance Industry or LOMA Coursework: Completion of insurance industry or LOMA coursework preferred
- High School Diploma: Required; some college-level coursework preferred
- Internet Requirements: Must possess internet with a minimum speed of 25MB download and 5MB upload and be able to support a VPN
