Experienced Senior Accountant – Remote Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our remote bookkeeping team at arenaflex. As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a critical role in driving financial reporting and process improvements across the organization. You'll work closely with our Senior Bookkeeping Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger

• Own the monthly close cycle for arenaflex and external entities for assigned functional areas
• Ensure financial records are maintained for management and GAAP combined financial statements using accepted methodologies
• Assist in providing expectations to external auditors on annual reviews and quarterly surveys
• Communicate with FP&A, functional partners, and external stakeholders on significant accounting matters
• Conduct special investigations and projects to further our cycle improvement initiatives

• Sharp business acumen and process-oriented
• Data-focused and unafraid to dig down to the lowest level of detail for truth and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication, oral, and written skills, including strong proficiency in English
• Strong analytical and time management skills
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB principles, SOX/internal controls
• Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification an asset
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and process large amounts of data
