Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner, and maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems to ensure seamless communication and follow-up. You'll work closely with our supervisor and team members to ensure that all calls are answered and handled appropriately, and that patients receive the highest level of care and support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)

  • Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
  • Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately, providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
  • Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
  • Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
  • Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • 1 year(s) of call center or phone experience

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • High School or better

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
