NP/PA for Telehealth Post-Acute Care - Dermatology
Location: Remote (serving post-acute facilities in Florida) Company: Post Acute Specialists Job Type: Part-Time, 1099 Independent Contractor Compensation: Performance-based: 40% of net professional collections/RVUs generated Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), with a background in dermatology, to provide specialized telehealth services to patients in various post-acute settings across Florida. The APP will conduct virtual consultations to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions, collaborating with facility staff and a supervising physician to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is self-directed and capable of managing a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the facilities.Key Responsibilities
- Telehealth Assessments: Perform comprehensive virtual skin assessments and examinations using telemedicine technology to identify and manage dermatological concerns.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic skin conditions, such as rashes, wounds, pressure ulcers, infections, and skin lesions.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering wound care supplies, and coordinating with facility staff.
- Collaboration: Work closely with supervising physicians, facility nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care for post-acute patients.
- Referrals: Facilitate appropriate referrals for on-site services or specialist consultations as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records for billing and patient management, ensuring all documentation supports the billing process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA, state-specific telemedicine, and independent contractor guidelines.
- Self-Directed Schedule: Manage a flexible, self-directed schedule based on patient and facility demand, with the autonomy to structure working hours.
Compensation
Details: This is a production-based compensation model for independent contractors, designed to reward efficiency and productivity.
- Base Pay: 40% of the net collections for all services billed under the APP's provider number. This compensation structure is transparent and directly tied to the provider's professional output.
- 1099 Contractor Status: As a 1099 independent contractor, the provider is responsible for their own tax payments and self-employment taxes.
- Earning Potential: High-performing APPs who effectively manage their caseload and documentation have significant earning potential.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current, unrestricted NP or PA license to practice in the State of Florida.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited advanced practice program.
- National certification (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
