Responsibilities
- Daily Living Assistance (ADLs):
Provide hands-on care for personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Nutritional Support:
Assist with meal preparation and feeding; monitor and document fluid intake and dietary requirements.
- Medical Equipment Management:
Oversee the cleanliness and proper functioning of specialized home equipment, such as oxygen tanks, ventilators, or feeding pumps.
- Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of treatments, medications, and any incidents according to agency and state policies.
- Emotional Support:
Engage the child in age-appropriate play and offer reassurance to both the patient and family members during stressful periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- First aid and CPR-certified (BLS certification)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Compassionate, respectful, ethical
