Community & Outreach Virtual Assistant

Job Description

A futuristic indie band is seeking a Virtual Assistant to support their mission of growing organic visibility and expanding their presence online. This role is ideal for a proactive and creative communicator with a strong understanding of online communities, grassroots marketing, and outreach strategies.

Key Responsibilities: Community Building & Engagement (Primary Focus) Identify and engage in relevant niche forums and communities (e.g., Reddit, Discord, Instagram comment threads) Participate in discussions around AI, tech, and music to authentically introduce and grow the Lucy Dreams brand Track engagement and report insights to the manager Outreach & PR Support Research and compile lists of bloggers, playlist curators, and radio hosts in the music/tech niche Initiate cold outreach to relevant contacts via email or social media Support in crafting outreach messages (templates provided by client) Brand Positioning Support Ensure Lucy Dreams’ narrative and story are effectively placed in relevant digital spaces Collaborate with the band manager to push the brand creatively and organically

Must-Have Qualifications: Excellent written English and clear verbal communication skills Experience in online community engagement or guerrilla/digital grassroots marketing Proficient in research and list-building for outreach Creative mindset with a passion for music, tech, and culture Comfortable using platforms like Reddit, Discord, Instagram, and email tools Tech-savvy and self-organized

Availability & Commitment Part-Time: 20 hours/week (initial) May scale to Full-Time (40 hours/week) based on performance and results Flexible hours, but should be available for communication during European daytime $600 – $700 a month
