Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers with precision and accuracy
  • Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, ensuring that data is accurate and up-to-date
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents, identifying and correcting errors
  • Updating existing data to ensure that it's current and accurate
  • Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested by team members or clients
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss
  • Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure that it's not lost or misplaced

Requirements and Skills

To succeed as a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll need:

  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management principles
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data management software and systems

  • Knowledge of database design and development principles
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools
  • Certification in data entry or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Entry Specialist)
