Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our databases. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing high-volume data entry work in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparing information for data entry and ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date
- Providing entry-level administrative support to the data entry function, including performing clerical functions and data entry tasks
- Identifying and correcting errors, and swiftly bringing them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary
- Maintaining data entry requirements by following data program techniques and established procedures
- Training new data entry employees on computer systems and ensuring that they're equipped to perform their duties effectively
- Performing routine clerical and data entry functions, including typing, faxing, and data entry duties
- Ensuring timely data entry and file management, and operating data entry devices to perform a variety of keypunching data entry and verification duties
- Reviewing and verifying data prior to entry, and performing daily audits and data entry corrections
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with data entry software and systems, including EMR systems
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience working in a healthcare or medical records environment
- Familiarity with data program techniques and established procedures
- Certification in medical records or a related field
- Experience with data entry devices and equipment
