Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Entry Specialist to join our team in a remote work arrangement. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management systems. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent typing speed and accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Inserting customer and account data by inputting text-based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
  • Compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities if possible, and checking output
  • Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
  • Applying data program techniques and procedures
  • Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations
  • Keeping information confidential
  • Responding to queries for information and accessing relevant files
  • Complying with data integrity and security policies

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • High school diploma; additional computer training or certification will be an asset
