The Role

As a Part-time Remote Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for entering large amounts of data into our customer information system and other Public Works software. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that our customers receive accurate and timely information. You will work independently, taking initiative to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish and maintain utility accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Verify account eligibility and accessibility, resolving any discrepancies or issues
• Prepare, distribute, and complete work orders, following established procedures
• Prepare files for mass customer communications, including billing statements and other notices
• Assist with mailing billing statements and other notices, ensuring timely delivery
• Scan or retain documents, maintaining accurate records and files
• Perform monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests, identifying areas for improvement
• Enter data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases, providing valuable insights for our team
• Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the success of our Customer Service Division

What You Need:

* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

• 2+ years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency
• Must pass computer skills, typing, accuracy, and 10-key skills testing, demonstrating proficiency in data entry software and systems
• Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or related fields is a plus, but not required

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
