Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team of talented professionals who are dedicated to developing and implementing data-driven solutions that improve healthcare outcomes. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, architectures, and applications that meet the business and information science needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and architectures to collect, process, and normalize data from various sources
- Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
- Collaborate with the data science team to integrate data and models into automated processes
- Work with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and develop scalable data architectures
- Develop strong programming skills in Python or other relevant languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
- Assemble data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Ensure data quality and accessibility by incorporating data from various sources
- Investigate current data technology trends to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
- Explore new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements directed by the model or use case
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering
- 5+ years of experience with SQL
- 5+ years of experience with Python
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
