Founding Woz Experts (freelance)

Woz is an AI app builder that helps entrepreneurs launch mobile-app-based businesses. As demand grows, we are recruiting a small group of Founding Woz Experts to partner with us and help our customers build and launch real products. This is a unique opportunity to establish yourself as one of the first freelancers or agencies on top of an emerging AI platform and to help define the future of human–AI collaboration in software development. About Woz Woz (YC W25) builds production-grade mobile apps with AI. Our system allows AI to handle the majority of the development work, while human experts step in where the AI reaches its limits and to provide oversight, quality assurance, and custom integrations that AI cannot yet deliver. Until now, our internal engineering team has acted as the “human in the loop.” As inbound demand has increased, we’re opening this role to external freelancers who want to build on top of Woz and help founders bring their businesses to life. What You’ll Do

• Help entrepreneurs build and launch mobile apps using the Woz platform
• Review AI-generated code and ensure production-ready quality
• Build custom logic, workflows, and integrations that extend beyond AI’s capabilities
• Provide light consulting to guide customers from idea to shipped product
• Act as the technical owner of individual client projects
• Work directly with the Woz founding team to shape the Expert Program and future workflows

Who You Are

• A developer with hands-on experience building mobile apps in React Native and TypeScript
• Comfortable freelancing, owning deliverables, and managing customer expectations
• Experienced with scoping, estimating, and delivering client projects
• Interested in the intersection of AI and software development
• Excited to partner with an emerging AI platform and influence how humans and AI build businesses together
• Strong communicator, empathetic with non-technical founders, and comfortable working independently

How the Program Works

• Woz Experts are onboarded and given access to Woz’s internal tools and workflows
• Customers in need of help building their app are referred directly to Woz Experts
• Experts propose, scope, price, and manage projects directly with customers
• Woz collects a flat fee per project
• Customers maintain a monthly subscription to the Woz platform
• You control your workload, pricing, and availability
