Responsibilities

As a Temporary Health Care Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in responding to customer inquiries, explaining medical benefits, and assisting customers with their employer's open enrollment process. Your success in this position will require the ability to process and disseminate information to both employees and insurance carriers effectively. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering phone and email inquiries promptly
  • Refer unresolved queries to your manager
  • Providing information about network providers to re-enrolling and prospective members
  • Assisting with application submissions
  • Contacting carriers to track enrollments, changes, and cancellations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Experience working remotely
  • Previous experience as a customer service specialist or in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare setting
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
  • Proficient in computer use with above-average typing speed
  • Detail-oriented with data entry experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with ease

Preferred Qualifications

* Goal start date: September 23, 2024

  • Open to short-term work (4-5 months)
  • Available to work Monday – Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM PT
  • Willingness to work daytime and evening shifts
