What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As a Patient Customer Service Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Placing and receiving phone calls to/from patients to gather payment for medical expenses, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of patient accounts
  • Collecting demographic, insurance, and relevant information from patients, documenting appropriately in internal technology platforms, such as our proprietary arenaflex platform

  • Researching and resolving patient questions or concerns using web-based tools and internal platforms, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of patient issues
  • Maintaining and evolving knowledge of the processes and procedures of arenaflex's clients, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices

What is Required (Qualifications)

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service capacity, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment, with expertise in handling high-volume calls and resolving complex customer issues
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical/insurance coding and billing, with a solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management principles
  • Residency in Wisconsin, Michigan, or Iowa if working from home, ensuring compliance with state regulations and requirements
