Azure Cloud Specialist (Terraform, AKS, Entra ID- 100% Remote/Contract-to-Hire)
Azure Cloud Specialist (Terraform, AKS, Entra ID, VM's, - 100% Remote/Contract-to-Hire) Optomi, in partnership with a major client is searching for a senior Azure Cloud specialist to help grow and modernize a technology department and their clients. This person will help implement automation, container deployments, leverage AI where necessary, and perform implementations and migrations in Azure as needed. Responsibilities:
- Be the subject matter expert for Microsoft tooling and Azure environment for customer
- Perform implementations of new tooling or infrastructure or migrate existing infrastructure into the cloud
- Help introduce or improve automation using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
- Experience with container deployments and utilizing Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
- Helping with strategy and design conversations with other enigneers and architects
- Work closely with various business units and stakeholders across the organization

- Significant Microsoft and Azure cloud experience (Entra ID, VM's, AKS, security tools, etc.)
- Experience with migrations, implementations, and maintenance of large and small Azure cloud environments
- Experience introducing or revamping Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in the cloud utilizing Terraform
- Experience with Azure PaaS (platform as a service) and containerized deployments- using AKS in this role
- Experience with design and architecture of cloud environments with fellow engineers and architects
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders and various business units
