Job Details

* Full-time position with rotating weekends

  • Second shift hours available with night & weekend shift differential pay
  • Starting salary $18 to $19 per hour or more based on experience

Job Description

As a Travel Insurance Customer Care Professional, you'll be responsible for handling inbound calls from travelers and travel advisors interested in learning about our travel insurance products. You'll provide insurance quotes or policy sales, utilizing a consultative sales approach to understand the traveler's needs and recommend an appropriate product to protect against risks associated with their upcoming travel. Your primary goal will be to educate customers on the benefits and coverages of our products, ensuring they feel confident and protected throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle inbound calls from travelers and travel advisors with professionalism and empathy

  • Provide insurance quotes or policy sales, using a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs
  • Educate customers on the benefits and coverages of our travel insurance products
  • Recommend appropriate products to protect against risks associated with upcoming travel
  • Meet state licensing requirements to sell insurance
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance and quality service

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in sales or insurance

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think outside the box and provide creative solutions
  • Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to respond to high-end clientele with professionalism and poise
  • Experience in the travel industry, with knowledge of domestic or international travel and geography

Preferred Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., business, marketing, communications) preferred

  • Experience in inbound call handling and sales
  • Familiarity with travel insurance products and services
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
