About the Role
As a Data Engineer on our DDSI team, you'll play a critical role in developing and supporting our cloud-based data pipelines. You'll work closely with our Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that drive business insights and decision-making. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, and collaborative tools will enable us to deliver high-quality data products and services to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
- Design and implement data pipelines that meet business requirements and ensure data quality and integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and implement data solutions
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and data pipelines using tools such as Docker, GitLab, and Wind stream
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues and errors
- Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge base for data pipelines and related tools
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and cloud computing
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong expertise in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and cloud design
- Experience with collaborative tools, including GitLab and Docker
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI
- Experience with machine learning and data science concepts
- Strong understanding of data governance and data security principles
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
