About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team as a Data Engineer. As a key member of our tech group, you will play a vital role in designing, building, and deploying cloud-based applications that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with skilled designers and engineers in an open, collaborative, and innovative environment where your voice is valued, and you have the freedom to choose the technologies that best suit the task at hand.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop cloud-based data processing and analytics systems using a range of technologies, including Java, Scala, and NoSQL databases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
• Build and deploy high-quality software components, working closely with designers and engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, code reviews, and testing plans.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based applications and data engineering.
• Proficiency in Java or Scala, with experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, including Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring.
• Experience with data processing and analytics frameworks, such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, including identity and access management, data encryption, and network security.
