Experienced Data Engineer – Cloud-Based Data Pipeline Development and Support

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us drive business value through data-driven insights. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and systems that support our Media business. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Product, and Engineering, to ensure that our data solutions meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and systems using cloud-based technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
- Collaborate with Data Science teams to develop and deploy data models and machine learning algorithms
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and other programming languages
- Design and implement data governance and quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data solutions that meet those needs
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and delivery
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure that data systems are scalable, secure, and highly available
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong experience with Python and SQL, with a focus on cloud-based databases such as Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience with source control systems such as GitLab and GitHub
- Strong understanding of data governance and quality control principles
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Proficiency in cloud design and deployment using AWS
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Strong understanding of data architecture and design principles
