Schedule and Work Environment

As a Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you'll work 34 hours per week, with flexible hours between 8am and 4:30pm CST. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. You'll have the opportunity to work independently, but also collaborate with our team members to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers
  • Entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests expediently and efficiently to meet client turnaround times
  • Navigating efficiently and effectively through the imaging software to retrieve claims and authorizations for data entry
  • Differentiating between different claim types and following the appropriate data entry guidelines
  • Accurately identifying specific document types that require special handling
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times
  • Supporting additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements
  • Performing quality review of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines
  • Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed
  • Alerting management of potential issues upon identification of discrepancies
  • Providing recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies as appropriate

Qualifications

To be a successful Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months or more years of experience in data entry or typing-focused role
  • Strong data entry/typing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong data entry skills, with a minimum of 8,200 KSPH and 98% accuracy rate
  • Proficiency in imaging software and ability to navigate efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
