Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Chat Moderator to join our remote team. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our Discord server by enforcing community guidelines, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive user experience. This is a part-time, flexible position that offers the opportunity to work from anywhere and make a real difference in our community.
Key Responsibilities
* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to community guidelines and rules
- Delete messages that violate our community guidelines, including but not limited to:
+ Hate speech or discriminatory language + Harassment or bullying + Spam or self-promotion + Inappropriate content or links
- Ban users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines, after a thorough investigation and warning
- Mute users who have violated our community guidelines, to prevent further disruption
- Investigate reports made by users about violations of our community guidelines, and take appropriate action
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community guidelines and policies
- Provide excellent customer service and support to users, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
* Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Familiarity with Discord and community management tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in community management or moderation
- Knowledge of community guidelines and policies
- Familiarity with conflict resolution and mediation techniques
- Experience working with diverse groups and individuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
