Senior Engineer I – Managed Kubernetes
Job Description:
- Develop the DigitalOcean Managed Kubernetes product
- Contribute to our growing GPU offering
- Develop back-end gRPC services written in Go deployed on Kubernetes
- Design back-end services and author engineering design documents
- Raise the bar for Operational Excellence
- Independently lead projects
- Navigate the complexity of distributed systems and operate them in production
- Break the design documents into actionable epics and stories with estimates
- Run experiments to optimize user experience
- Collaborate with our developer community and maintain open-source projects
- Regularly interact with important customers to understand their needs
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes internals and Go
- Experience operating Kubernetes platforms at scale
- Ability to drive complex projects from inception through completion
