Job Description: PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee all aspects of the Esports program, demonstrating effective communication and planning, strong organizational and administrative skills, and sound decision-making.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and retention of Esports team members.
  • Organize, plan and conduct practices, games, tournaments and hold individual skill instructions session.
  • Work directly with leagues as a liaison for the University.
  • Coordinate with the athletic communications office to provide accurate data for game scores as well as individual and team accomplishments.
  • Participate in the development of the whole student-- regarding individual well-being and life skills.
  • Help monitor and ensure the academic progress of team members.
  • Represent the program with the highest level of professionalism, sportsmanship and integrity.
  • Foster and maintain a culture that demonstrates a commitment to compliance with all league, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
  • Foster and maintain a culture that demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as well as trust and mutual respect.
  • Provide ongoing input on design of esports facility and selection of equipment, as well as preventive maintenance of inventory.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director for Club Sports and Recreation
Requirements: Nights and weekends will be required. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED:
  • Minimum 1-2 years coaching eSports
  • Detailed knowledge of eSports industry
  • Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's required
  • Experience competing in competitive eSports leagues
