Reinsurance Specialist
Guy Carpenter is a business of Marsh, a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital. The Reinsurance Specialist will manage an assigned client portfolio, ensuring timely follow-up and premium collection, while collaborating with departments to support collections and fund settlements.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned client portfolio, including timely follow-up, accurate system entry of client activity, and securing reinsurance premiums
- Collaborate with other departments to support collection efforts and cash application processes as needed
- Oversee timely settlement of funds to and from clients, ensuring compliance with all payment warranties and conditions
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Provide detailed client-specific accounting and claims information to support sales opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers, Clients, and Markets by understanding their needs and resolving issues effectively; actively participate in team meetings to share knowledge and contribute to outcomes
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, accounting, or claims
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Proactive in offering and implementing ideas to improve processes in a dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Consistently promoting and enhancing the Guy Carpenter brand
- 4+ years' of experience in risk management
