Appian Application Developer
Aegon is seeking an early career Application Developer to build and maintain applications using Appian and other low-code platforms. This role focuses on hands-on development, integration, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements while working closely with senior developers and global teams.
Responsibilities
- Develops specifications for new and existing systems to determine program steps and sequencing
- Designs, codes, tests, and documents components for applications or other technical solutions
- Coordinates with co-workers, clients, operations and technical support on systems projects
- Works independently and sets direction on small to medium size projects
- Involved in solving problems with systems and programs
- Interfaces and initiates discussions with clients to determine requirements, resolve problems and perform testing
- Supports other analysts by performing functions, such as coding, testing, job processing, documentation, and scheduling
- Plans specific activities within a complex IT project
- Demonstrates a limited knowledge of systems and the overall business
- May require some supervision and occasional review of work
Skills
- 2-year computer science or business degree or equivalent work experience
- Up to 2 years work experience
- Develop applications using Appian and related technologies
- Leverage API based integrations to bring data from external systems
- Hands-on experience with SQL, API integrations, and reporting tools
- Domain knowledge in Financial Services
- Appian certifications (Developer level or equivalent)
- Familiarity with JIRA and Agile delivery frameworks
- Experience with cloud environments and deployment processes
