[Remote] Content Operations Specialist

The Content Operations Specialist is responsible for managing systems, workflows, and quality control for content publication on the organization's website, ensuring accuracy and consistency through collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Upload, format, and publish content in the CMS
  • Apply templates, page modules, CTAs, images, embeds, and structured components
  • Tag, categorize, and publish all assets on schedule in the CMS
  • Conduct pre- and post-publish QA checks, reviewing formatting, broken links, CTAs, metadata, and brand compliance
  • Ensure structured formatting inputs such as headers, FAQs, citations, and source attribution are present before publishing
  • Confirm AI-related fields are correctly populated in the CMS
  • Implement SEO inputs including title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, internal links, and image alt text
  • Build, format, QA, and schedule newsletters with a consistent weekly cadence
  • Track freelance writer/editor assignments, deliverables, deadlines, and maintain production schedules using Asana or similar tools
  • Maintain a clear record of published content and continuously update editorial documentation
  • Identify workflow issues and suggest improvements when timelines or dependencies slip
  • Coordinate with Creative and Web teams on design and CTA placements

Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in content operations, development, or execution in B2B or SaaS environments
  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, creative writing, journalism, marketing, or related field
  • Strong project management and editorial coordination skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Genuine interest in healthcare and challenges faced by independent practices
  • Experience with workflow and CMS tools such as Asana and Wordpress
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
  • Understanding of healthcare industry challenges, especially for independent practices and medical billers
