Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for patients requiring assistance with specialty drug requests and reorders. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing new and existing drug requests, including benefit verification
  • Guiding patients through the process of entering new or reordered medications into the pharmacy system
  • Collecting co-pays and other payments
  • Obtaining necessary approvals
  • Collaborating with insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to monitor, resolve, and approve orders with financial or clinical issues

Key Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role, handling a high volume of complex customer inquiries via phone
  • Minimum of one year of experience with Windows-based applications (Windows, Microsoft Office, web browsing, email)
  • Proficient keyboarding skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in healthcare, benefits, insurance, medical terminology, or pharmacy is highly desirable.
