About the role:

We are seeking an Account Manager to represent Malvern Panalytical’s full portfolio across all market segments in the Northwest region. 

In this role, you will take ownership of a defined territory, driving sustainable growth by identifying new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing customer partnerships. 

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will leverage your technical knowledge and commercial acumen to deliver consultative, value-driven solutions. By aligning our industry-leading technologies with customer needs, you will play a key role in helping clients achieve their scientific and operational goals. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Deliver against revenue targets and drive strong financial performance across your territory  

  • Build and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders  

  • Identify, qualify, and progress new business opportunities, managing them effectively through the sales pipeline  

  • Engage customers in meaningful dialogue to understand their challenges and position tailored, value-driven solutions  

  • Partner closely with the Field Applications Team to deliver compelling technical demonstrations and support the sales process  

  • Represent Malvern Panalytical at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events, enhancing brand presence and generating leads  

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and ensure CRM data is up to date to support effective business planning  

  • Champion customer satisfaction by acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring a high-quality customer experience throughout the lifecycle 

About you: 

  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales 

  • Experience selling capital equipment (CAPEX), particularly analytical instrumentation, is highly advantageous  

  • Proven ability to work with and manage distributor or channel partner networks is desirable  

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at multiple stakeholder levels  

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, with experience using Salesforce preferred  

  • Solid understanding of academic, industrial, and molecular biology market landscapes  

  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to confidently navigate financial and contractual discussions  

  • Full UK driving license, with willingness to travel 50% as required
