Junior Underwriter

As a Junior Underwriter, you will assess financial risks, develop relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to underwriting activities that support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Assess the financial risk of Gouvernail groups (groups of up to 50 employees), including establishing pricing and preparing bids for prospective clients, renewals for existing clients, and evaluating pricing impacts following contract modifications
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to support effective collaboration and decision-making
- Prepare accurate and timely underwriting analyses to support business growth and client retention
- Contribute to ad hoc projects aimed at the continuous improvement of underwriting and pricing processes
- Collaborate closely with the Underwriting Manager and team to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in underwriting practices

- Stands out for their advanced knowledge of Office tools, particularly Excel, and familiarity with the group insurance market (an asset)
- Has One year of relevant experience would be an asset
- Holds bachelor's degree in mathematics, business administration, actuarial science, or finance
