American Heritage Lending is in search of highly motivated and customer-centric individuals to join our team as RTL Loan Processors. We are looking for processing professionals who are dedicated to enhancing the customer experience and adept at sourcing and fostering strategic relationships.

Position Overview

The Loan Processor is responsible for managing and processing residential mortgage loan files from submission through underwriting approval. This role ensures that all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with investor and company guidelines. The Loan Processor works closely with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and other internal departments to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process for borrowers and stakeholders.

Major Areas of Responsibility include

  • Coordinates with title companies, appraisers, and other vendors to facilitate timely receipt of supporting documents.
  • Monitors pipeline to meet internal and external service-level expectations and closing deadlines.
  • Updates loan status and notes in the loan origination system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Serves as an expeditor to the loan submission process.
  • Clears investor approval conditions within three business days.
  • Provides loan processors with timely and periodic status updates.
  • Works collaboratively with the loan originator and the loan processor.
  • Makes requests from borrower using superior customer service levels.
  • Uploads documents in Encompass in compliance with naming convention.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities)

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understand various mortgage documents.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directives.
  • Ability to gather and monitor information.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of documents.

Experience and Education

  • 2-4 years processing experience
  • Familiarity with loan products such as DSCR, Fix and Flip, Ground up Construction and Non-QM is a must have
  • Prior effective telephone communication

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer
