Require Non CDL Driver in Colorado

Job title: Non CDL Driver Company: Weld RE-4 School District Job description: SUMMARY: Responsible for driving students to and from schools located outside of the Weld RE-4 School District. Other routes may be assigned that do not require a CDL driver. Some of these routes may span a distance of greater than 50 miles (one-way) DISTRICT QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver?s License with good driving record
• Small Vehicle Training Completion

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive routes that do not require a CDL
• Maintain and promote professional defensive driving attitude
• Daily pre and post trip inspections
• Maintain proper student discipline per Board policy
• Maintain appropriate communication with supervisor, school and parents regarding student behavior
• Assist transportation department with other duties, including utility work such as cleaning vehicles, building, and equipment, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting due to potential long routes CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

• Possess a valid Colorado Driver?s license
• Must possess a current first aid and CPR card. Employee must have a current DOT physical.
• Employee could be subject to drug and alcohol screening

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: At-will employee. Work year and hourly rate to be established by Board of Education.
