Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Rochford District Council in recruiting a Land Charges Assistant on an initial 3-month, temporary contract with a view to extend.

This role offers fully remote working after an initial training period.

Rochford District Council is seeking a dedicated and detail‑driven individual to help transition our Land Registry applications onto a modern online digital platform.

As the Land Charges Assistant Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring our planning data is accurate, accessible, and mapped effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Processing planning/Land Charges data for both new and existing applications
• Transferring Land Registry information into a digital system
• Plotting applications on digital maps to support planning workflows
• Supporting the wider Land Charges team during the digital migration project

What You’ll Bring

• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Proactive mindset with strong initiative
• Background in planning or a related field
• Experience with Local Land Charges — highly desirable
• Familiarity with UniForm or Land Registry Migration Helper — an advantage
