As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a hands-on, self-directed Accountants Receivables Specialist to support a full cycle of Accounts Receivables and other duties in Accounting Operation in a federal contracting environment.

Position Overview

This position will support primarily billing, accounts payable (AP), bank reconciliations, and month-end close is a plus. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded accounting professional with a strong working knowledge of Unanet, experience supporting cost-type government contracts, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced small business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Contracts to set up new projects in Unanet and ensure billing begins immediately.
  • Manage and execute customer billings (primarily cost-type include billable expenses, occasionally T&M/FFP) within Unanet; ensure alignment with contract funding and billing terms.
  • Make any required corrections to timesheets/invoices and submit to customers for processing.
  • Address issues raised by customers and prepared revised invoices as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Program Managers to align billing and funding accuracy.
  • Reconcile all revenue accounts on the Income Statement after invoice is completed.
  • Work closely with Sr. Staff Accountant to resolve invoices in a past-due status.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability as the company grows.
  • Other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Unanet (required; accounting and timekeeping modules).
    • Billing and eCraft reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of cost-type contract billing.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and government cost principles.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently in a small-business environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting analysis tools.

Additional Details

  • Work Environment: Fully remote. Must be available for travel to the Wayne, PA headquarters approximately once per quarter (or as needed).
