Medical Practice Scheduler (2370)
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Temporary Medical Practice Scheduler to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson AZ.
Responsibilities
- Answers phone calls in a timely and efficient manner using the AIDET customer service key words
- Transfers calls according to procedures
- Schedules appointments in a timely and efficient manner
- Schedules appointments as directed by referring providers
- Uses scheduling books routinely
- Pages providers for hospital consults/call backs according to procedures
- Confirming of appointments
- Enters authorization information on patient account in computer
- Maintains information in a confidential manner
- Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner
- Attended required meetings and participates in committees as required
- Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
- Performs related work as required
Requirements
- 1 year reception or phone operator experience is required
- Medical reception preferred, cardiology experience a plus
- Knowledge in the healthcare setting
- Ability to effectively communicate
