[Remote] Paralegal (Estate Planning Specialist)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mercer Advisors is a leading financial services firm that has been supporting families for 40 years. They are seeking an Estate Planning Specialist I to assist in document preparation and management related to estate planning in a team-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and preparing deeds, assignments, and other funding documents
- Working with county recorders to ensure deeds and supporting documents are properly filed and fees are accurate
- Managing workflows and processes related to funding, and related tasks
- Assisting in the creation of entities, including preparation of formation documents and filings
- Preparing summaries of existing estate plans
- Support creation of estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, and entering data into legal document software
- Other duties, as assigned
Skills
- Paralegal Certificate required
- Knowledge of WealthDocs required
- Focused on proactive follow-up and follow-through
- Excellent organization, time management, proofreading, and word processing skills
- Adaptable and able to maintain confidentiality with all matters
- Have a 'can do' positive attitude while working well as part of a large team
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment
