Supervisor, Mill Maintenance (Nunavut, CA)

Supervisor, Mill Maintenance, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Deputy Superintendent, Mill Maintenance, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

•    Oversees all aspects of mill maintenance including mechanical, hydraulic, and crushing/screening systems ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. •    Acts as a visible safety leader, promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture in alignment with HSEQ policies and environmental regulations. •    Develops and manages preventative and predictive maintenance plans, planned shutdowns, and repair schedules in accordance with OEM standards and site procedures. •    Leads and mentors a multidisciplinary maintenance team by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing support and guidance to meet operational goals. •    Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and collaborates with the team to implement effective technical solutions, while applying continuous improvement and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to minimize downtime, enhance performance and support long-term plant efficiency. •    Prepares maintenance reports, participate in meetings and briefings, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

•    Five (5) years’ of post qualification experience, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Lead Hand, preferably in an isolated remote setting with limited access to parts and resources. •    Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), supplemented with supervisory course work. •    Experience in maintenance planning using computerized maintenance software, proven organizational skills, and familiarity with SAP is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $190,000.00
