Job Description:

A DME Billing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of billing following confirmation. They will work closely with internal and external departments to facilitate patient billing and continued coverage of equipment. The DME Billing Specialist will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining detailed knowledge of: billing documentation requirements and guidelines by payers; timely and effective billing; and policies on collections for all applicable payers. Job duties may also include other items as assigned by leadership. Education: ▪ Required:  High School Diploma or Equivalent  Experience: ▪ Preferred: 1 year experience in a healthcare or DME setting   Skills: ▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills  ▪ Ability to prioritize shifting incoming inquiries containing multiple time-sensitive needs.  ▪ Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment  ▪ Proficient computer skills including knowledge in Microsoft applications, typing, and computerized phone systems.  ▪ Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams  ▪ Ability to multi-task & have high attention to detail  ▪ Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for internal and external customers  ▪ Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.   Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ N/A Apply To This Job
