Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for Software Engineer (Dev) role in the Philippines (fully remote within the Philippines). Reporting to Manager Software Engineer (Dev).

· Develop and deliver software solutions to functional requirements and timeframes

· Delivery of assigned stories on schedule and accordance with agreed scope and quality

· Participation in the Agile Scrum process including:

· Refinement and point estimation of user stories

· Breakdown of user stories into subtasks

· Development of appropriately commented code

· Development of JUnit unit tests

· Management of multiple levels of branching with Git experience

· Constructive participation in code review and functional test case review

· Familiarity with build tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions

Technical Competencies

Knowledge and experience of the following technologies:

· Programming Languages:

· Java using Spring Boot

· TSQL (SQL Server) or SQL dialect

· Agile: Experience with Agile methodology

The following technologies would be advantageous:

· JEE experience (EJB, JPA, JAX-RS)

· SQL Server Reporting Services

· Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and customers of cross-functional teams

· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

· Highly self motivated

· Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

· Ability to conduct research into software related issues
