Job Purpose: The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term satisfaction, retention, and account growth. This role focuses on understanding client needs, aligning solutions with business objectives, and identifying opportunities to expand product and service adoption within the current customer base. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Account Manager delivers proactive support, strategic guidance, and value-driven engagement to foster loyalty and maximize account performance.

Essential Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Drive account growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the full product
  • Pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory, targeting accounts that meet defined criteria for size and strategic fit.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge across all Securus offerings to effectively position solutions and support customer decision-making.
  • Conduct sales campaigns and outreach efforts, understanding client needs and presenting tailored solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to both existing clients and
  • Develop and present proposals, both solicited and unsolicited, including coordination and validation of RFP responses to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Assist clients in the purchasing process, including RFP preparation and navigating procurement
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows to build relationships, promote brand awareness, and gather market intelligence.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, clearly articulating the Securus value proposition and aligning solutions with customer goals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed account profiles, including contact strategies, WIN Plans, and key stakeholder mapping.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to understand client goals, align solutions with business needs, and support long-term account growth and retention.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions that support client satisfaction and business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms such as
  • Ability to maintain a high level of product knowledge and understand industry trends to support client engagement and retention strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ experience in direct consultative selling
  • Experience in direct consultative selling, presentation skills, customer training experience, sales and contract negotiations and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel are expected qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related
  • Software sales or account management experience into the public safety market
  • Sales experience in the department of corrections calling or public safety market
