We believe that learning a new language should feel like living it. Our app blends AI-driven conversation, movie-like storytelling and real-world slang into a gamified, mobile-first learning experience. Think Duolingo meets TikTok.

Were building a new category of learning product. Playful, pop-cultural, deeply intelligent and were looking for a UX/UI Designer whos excited to help shape the look, feel and usability of SLANG from the ground up.

Role Requirements

• Design intuitive, mobile-first interfaces for real-time, AI-driven conversations
• Create wireframes, mockups, and clickable prototypes to bring story-based scenarios to life. From movie sets or concerts to day-by-day conversations in a cafe.
• Translate user flows and narrative arcs into engaging game-like experiences
• Define the visual language of the brand - colors, type, layout, and tone
• Collaborate directly with the founding team, devs, and AI leads to get us to MVP
• Evolve ideas from sketches to production-ready visuals - fast, iterative, creative
• Plan and execute core UX/CX deliverables including heuristic and IA audits, ecosystem maps, personas, customer journeys, service blueprints, and wireframes
• Collaborate across disciplines in both agile and waterfall processes to quickly deliver impactful solutions
• Participate in pitches.
• Keep on top of best practices and trends to ensure we are at the forefront of the industry

Qualities & Characteristics

• Experience or study in UX/UI, game interface design, or interaction design
• Strong skills in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
• A sharp eye for detail - layout, motion, feedback, hierarchy
• Curiosity for language, pop culture, AI, or gaming is a plus
• A portfolio (student projects are welcome!) that shows your range and process
• Self-driven and proactive - you bring ideas, not just solutions
