ABOUT THE JOB 

The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a key member of the Growth Analytics team, acting as the interpreter between growth focused stakeholders (marketing, sales, product and clinical operations) and Marathon’s technical Salesforce teams, ensuring CRM solutions align with business goals and objectives. This role will directly support customer acquisition, retention and critical growth through managing Salesforce and analytics projects from discovery and requirement gathering through delivery. This role leads small-to-medium projects that enhance Salesforce functionality, streamline go-to-market processes, and improve data driven decision making. Success requires independent initiative, effective cross-team collaboration, and strong technical and business analysis skills to drive process improvements and ensure successful adoption of enhancements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Salesforce Project Management

  • Understand both front-end and back-end aspects of the organization's Salesforce instance, including user roles and active Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.).

  • Shadow users across roles to understand workflows, pain points, and system usage.

  • Create and implement solutions with a strong emphasis on user experience, ensuring tools are intuitive, accessible, and encourage rapid user adoption.

  • Lead assigned Salesforce and analytics projects end-to-end, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Independently manage project timelines, resources, stakeholder updates, and provide concise summaries of key changes and benefits for management.

Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships across Growth, Marketing, Product, Operations, and IT, acting as the primary liaison to define the teams’ needs for assigned projects.

  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture business needs.

  • Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.

  • Coordinate QA and UAT testing, validate changes, oversee deployment readiness, and perform post-production activities to finalize projects.

  • Maintain accurate records of workflows, enhancements, and project deliverables.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend solutions to enhance productivity, data accuracy, and Salesforce reporting.

  • Administer and maintain applications connected to Salesforce platform including configuration, implementation, and ongoing support.

  • Monitor Salesforce advancements and new tools to find ways to add value using automation and AI.

Enablement, Training, & Reporting

  • Assist with change management, end-user training, and documentation during the rollout of new features and enhancements. Continue supporting user adoption to ensure stakeholders are prepared to utilize new capabilities efficiently.

  • Serve as a point of contact for Salesforce systems user support and problem solving.

  • Partner with the Salesforce team and key stakeholders to enhance and optimize how data is leveraged across the Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring efficient data collection, accurate reporting, and effective delivery of key insights.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, or similar roles, demonstrating independent project management and results delivery, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Salesforce expertise: Proven Salesforce administration experience including deep knowledge of objects, workflows, automation, and reporting, especially in Sales, Service, or Marketing Clouds, and a solid understanding of sales processes and CRM best practices.

  • Business analysis: Skilled in analytical problem-solving, requirements gathering, process mapping, user story creation, QA/UAT, and user training.

  • Growth mindset: Familiarity with customer acquisition funnels, retention strategies, and revenue metrics.

  • Communication skills: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a strong record of effective cross-team collaboration aligning technical teams with business stakeholders. Advanced presentation and documentation skills, adept at explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000/yr
