Associate Attorney - Commercial Litigation
O'Hagan Meyer PLLC is seeking a litigation associate to join its Maryland office. The role involves providing legal services in complex litigation, including general liability, professional liability, and more, while also requiring effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Legal research
- Drafting of pleadings motions and other documents
- Taking and defending depositions
- Drafting and answering discovery requests
- Trial preparation and trial assistance
- Communicate with both clients and colleagues effectively
- Local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions
Skills
- Experience with general liability, professional liability, products liability, construction litigation, real estate, mass torts and/or class actions
- Legal research, drafting of pleadings motions and other documents
- Taking and defending depositions
- Drafting and answering discovery requests
- Trial preparation and trial assistance
- Ability to communicate with both clients and colleagues effectively
- Some local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions
- Admission to the state bar of Maryland
- Experience with both state and federal courts
