Business Intelligence Analyst - Consumer Finance

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Description

This is a full-time, remote position within the continental United States

As a Business Intelligence Analyst - Consumer Finance, you serve as an analytics owner for MASA’s Consumer division, operating like a business owner rather than a report generator. This role is designed for someone who uses data to drive decisions, influence outcomes, and answer the hardest business questions: What should we do next? Why? And how will we measure success?

You act as the execution engine behind the Consumer business’s data-to-decision pipeline, supporting FP&A activities and operational analysis. You independently scope problems, model outcomes, surface trends over time, and make forward-looking recommendations that leaders rely on. If you thrive on ownership, accountability, and turning ambiguity into clarity, this role is built for you.

At MASA, analytics directly supports our mission—Protecting families with compassion when others don’t—by ensuring leaders have accurate, timely, and actionable insight. You’ll join a fast-paced, professional organization that values critical thinking, trust, and analytics that lead to action.

About Us

MASA has been a leader in emergency medical transportation insurance since 1974. We're not just a company – we're a close-knit team dedicated to "Protecting families with compassion when others don't." Our professional yet friendly company culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and a clear mission that resonates through every role as we support our expanding base of 2+ million members across the United States and the Caribbean. What You Will Do

Reporting to our Sr. Manager, Finance and Data Analytics, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Own end-to-end financial analytics for the Consumer division, from business question scoping through modeling, analysis, and delivery.
  • Build and maintain complex financial and operational models primarily in Excel, serving as the foundation for decision-making.
  • Develop sales and marketing forecasts, including volume, conversion, and unit economics assumptions.
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reporting pipelines, with increasing use of Power BI.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and create trackable frameworks to measure performance throughout the year.
  • Lead monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and provide clear, actionable commentary for leadership.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or business intelligence/data analytics.
  • Strong Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, charts, variance analysis) and experience with Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills—the ability to tell clear, compelling stories with data for senior audiences.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a track record of taking ownership and driving growth.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with budgeting/forecasting software, sales pipeline forecasting in consumer products or insurance/benefits, or advanced credentials (MBA, CFA, CPA).

What We Will Provide You

  • Competitive base salary, bonuses, and comprehensive employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, and vision insurance with highly rated carriers; a 401(k) program with a company match; paid time off; company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and basic life insurance; and a free MASA membership.
  • A professional and friendly company culture that supports a clear mission: "Protecting families with compassion when others don’t."
  • An opportunity to unleash your expertise and create a lasting impact on our journey of growth and success!

Why We Think You’ll Love This Opportunity

You’ll have real ownership over a critical business area, direct visibility into decision-making, and the opportunity to influence outcomes—not just report on them. This role offers autonomy, trust, and the chance to operate as a true analytics partner within a mission-driven organization.
