AI Engineer I
BillGO is a fintech company seeking an AI Engineer I to develop software solutions by analyzing information needs and collaborating with users. This role involves contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software products while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions that meet the needs of our fintech products
- Utilize programming languages, frameworks, and tools to build scalable, secure, and reliable software applications
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, maintain code quality, and identify areas for improvement
- Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly
- Contribute to the design and architecture of software systems, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Work closely with senior engineers to implement robust and efficient solutions
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fintech and software development
- Suggest and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance the team's efficiency and product offerings
- Engage in effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and other departments to understand project requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment on goals and timelines
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and optimize software performance
- Ensure that all software developed complies with industry security standards and regulatory requirements
- Implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive financial data
- Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation for developed software, including APIs, code documentation, and user guides
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated proficiency with both off-the-shelf and custom AI tools utilizing LLMs, Agentic AI, MCP, and prompt engineering
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, version control systems, and project management tools
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Master's degree is a plus but not required
